WOW. I remember sitting in a hotel room in New York City, watching them perform "Idioteque" on Saturday Night Live, and feeling chills. Actually went and bought a copy off iTunes after reading your post (I hadn't listened to the album in a few years), and it was pretty devastating. You know when you return to music that was a soundtrack for a specific period in your life...? Just hearing the words "I'm not here, this isn't happening" moved me to tears.
